• Hello everyone,

    Today, you formed your groups for the final task and you worked on the creation of your survival story:

    - Introduction: present briefly the situation

    - Development:

    a) 3 key moments

    b) develop the story

    c) your feelings (les sentiments au moment où vous viviez cette histoire)

    - Conclusion

    a) your feelings about this story today

    b) If I started all over again, I would + BV (si je recommençais cette aventure, je ferais... / je serais...)

    HOMEWORK: (travail à se répartir dans le groupe) for Friday, 4th:

    Do the conclusion (one of you writes "a" and the other one works on "b")

  • Hello everyone,

    Today, we talked about Aron's video in four steps.

    Here is what you said and what we wrote:

    Friday, October 14th

    (the fourteenth)

    Aron’s conference: Video part 2

    Aron said: “It is the worst pain I will ever experience in my life”.

    While he was cutting his arm, he never cried, he never said “Aw!” and he never shed a tear.

    All he could think about was seeing his family again.

    This narrative is quite/rather optimistic because he got free / he got out / he survived.

    At the end I presented you the instructions for the final task to come.

    We'll continue next time!

    Homework: learn the important elements from the lesson

  • Hello everyone,

    With your groups, we worked on imaginary situations dealing with Aron's story.

    Then, we talked about the title of the film: 127 hours of... ?

    Tuesday, October 11th

    (the eleventh)

    What if?

    What if he doesn’t move the rock?

        => If he doesn’t move the rock:

               -> he is going to be dehydrated.

               -> he is going to die from starvation.

    What if he moves it?

        => If he moves it:

               -> he is going to fall down the pit.

               -> the boulder is going to hit his head.

    What if he screams?

        => If he screams:

               -> he is going to lose his voice.

               -> the girls are going to hear him.

     ___________________________________________________________________

    Monday, October 10th

    (the tenth)

    What is going to happen next?

    Predictions

    1)What if he doesn’t move the boulder?

    -> If he doesn’t move it:

                   => he is going to stay there.

                   => he is going to die.

                   => he is not going to be able to move.

    2) What if he moves it?

           -> If he moves it:

                          => he is going to fall in the pit.

                          => he is going to climb the rock.

                          => the boulder is going to hit his head.

    3) What if he screams?

           -> If he screams:

                          => people are going to hear him and help him.

                          => nobody is going to hear him.

    HOMEWORK: Thursday, 13th:

    Learn the structure of the question (what if... ?) + the structure of the answer (be going to) + VOC
