• Hello everyone,

On Friday, we worked on imaginary situations.

We imagined ourselves in Aron's shoes:

    Friday, October 7th

    (the seventh)

    Identify Aron’s problems

Aron can’t sleep so he can be very tired / exhausted.

He can die from dehydration because he doesn’t have much water and the weather is extremely hot.

He can’t communicate with anyone because he doesn’t have a cellphone and the girls can’t hear him.

He can be injured because he can’t sit down or move.

What would you do if you were in his situation?

If he were in his situation, Winter would be scared.

If she were in his situation, Romane would try to release her arm.

=> Avec cette structure, on s’imagine à la place d’Aron.

Ce n’est pas réalisable, c’est uniquement fictif.

    C’est pourquoi on utilise « were » et pas « was ».

  • Hello everyone,

Today, you spoke a lot! It was really interesting to listen to you.

You debated on the most important things we had to find to survive in the Australian bush.

    Then, you voted.

    Here is the result:

    Friday, September 30th

    (the thirtieth)

How can we survive in the bush?

Our first priority is finding water because:

    -       Without water, we will die.

    -       Dehydration happens faster than starvation.

Our second priority is finding some food because:

    -       With food, you will get energy and you will be able to move, build a shelter, make fire...

    HOMEWORK:

    - Monday 3rd

    or

    - Tuesday 4th:

Learn info + voc from the lesson

  • Hello everyone,

Here is what we did on Thursday:

    Thursday, September 29th

    (the twenty-ninth)

    SURVIVAL

Document 1: An article from a website.

         Food and condition of survival

    Weather

    LANDSCAPES

    .....    berries

             leaves

             water

             slept under logs

    foggy

    freezing

    wet

swamps, heathland, forest, ridges, rainforest, gorges, mountainous region

A teenager got lost in the Australian bush.
    He could survive thanks to:

    -       logs. They protected him.

    -       berries and leaves. They gave him energy.

    -       water. It protected him from dehydration.

The weather was wet, freezing and foggy so it was difficult to survive.

  • Hello everyone,

This week, with your groups, we started working on agreeing/disagreeing.

Here are the phrases we studied:

Then, you acted out conversations between parents and teenagers who had to debate on a request from the teen.

HOMEWORK: pick five new phrases from the "disagree" list and learn them.
