Hello everyone,
Today, we started with explanations about the pronuciation of the 'ed' ending in the preterit.
This is the lesson:
Monday, October 12th
(the twelfth)
Pronunciation of [ed] in the preterit
HOMEWORK : Wednesday 14th
Learn the [ed] pronunciation.
Arrived, visited, talked, yelled, shouted (trouver la pronunciation du [ed]).

Hello everybody,
Today, we finished working on the video extract. We saw what happened when Rick refused to serve breakfast to the customer.
Here is our lesson:
Thursday, October 8th
(the eighth)
Video: Falling Down, extract n°2: the revelation
Finally, the customer got (get) a gun out of his bag.
became (become) furious.
didn’t get breakfast.
changed his mind.
didn’t leave.
ordered from the lunch menu.
didn’t punch the manager.
didn’t spit on the waitress.
Grammar:
Pour parler d’un événement passé, on utilise le preterit.
- Verbes réguliers : terminaison –ed :
Prononciation : soit [t], soit [d], soit [id].
- Verbes irréguliers : à apprendre
- La négation : didn’t = auxiliaire « do » au prétérit + la négation « not ». Suivi d’un verbe non conjugué/base verbale : ex : didn’t punch.
HOMEWORK : Monday 12th
Learn the lesson : connaître la leçon de grammaire, connaître le vocabulaire nouveau et être capable de refaire une phrase commençant par « finally » au minimum.

Hello everyone,
Today, we watched the first part of an extract from the movie "Falling down" starring Michael Douglas.
We described the situation (who, where, when, how, what, why...).
Then, we supposed what would happen next.
Here is your lesson:
Wednesday, October 7th
(the seventh)
VIDEO: Anticipation
- The scene takes place at a diner. The manager is named Rick. There is also Sheila, the waitress and a customer/client.
- The customer wants to order breakfast but it’s too late because it’s 11:33. Breakfast is served until half past eleven/eleven thirty (11:30).
Suppose what will happen:
- I guess/I imagine/ I suppose/ I believe/ I think the customer will take a gun out of his bag.
- The customer may become furious.
Pour supposer:
è Mot de l’opinion (think, guess…)+ auxiliaire du futur : will
OU
è Auxiliaire de supposition : may
HOMEWORK : 08/10/2015
Learn the lesson + make two suppositions (une de chaque sorte)
