    ORIGINS: Where are you from?

     

     

    Where are you from, Sophia? I’m from Bulgaria.

    è    Sophia/ She is from Bulgaria.

     

    Where are you from, Leopold? I’m from Switzerland and Italy.

    è    Leopold/ He is from Switzerland and Italy.

     

    Where are you from? We are from France.

     

    Some pupils / They are from Colombia, India and Ireland!

    -       I speak Chinese.

    -       I understand German.

    -       I write French.

    -       I read Japanese.

     

    Vocabulary: languages: Spanish, Arabic, Greek, Latin, Italian, Finnish, Russian, Danish, Portuguese, Dutch, Korean, Hindi...

    Today, we finished working on the video extract. We saw what happened when Rick refused to serve breakfast to the customer.

    Grammar:

    Pour parler d’un événement passé, on utilise le preterit.

     

    -       Verbes réguliers : terminaison –ed :

    Prononciation : soit [t], soit [d], soit [id].

     

    -       Verbes irréguliers : à apprendre

     

    -       La négation : didn’t = auxiliaire « do » au prétérit + la négation « not ». Suivi d’un verbe non conjugué/base verbale : ex : didn’t punch.

    Learn the lesson : connaître la leçon de grammaire, connaître le vocabulaire nouveau et être capable de refaire une phrase commençant par « finally » au minimum.
