    Today, we continued working on diners.

    We learnt how to ORDER food and to give a price.

    Here is the lesson:

    Ordering food at a diner

     

    ð I’m really hungry. I would like a burger, onion rings, lemonade and a waffle, please.

    How much is it?

    ð It’s $15 (fifteen dollars) all together.

     

     

    ð I’m as starving as an ogre. I’d like a chilli bowl, chicken wings, onion rings, fried eggs, bacon, cheese cake, three donuts. I’d like to drink lemonade, orange juice and cola.

    How much is it?

    ð It’s $45.99 (forty-five dollars and ninety-nine cents) all together.

    CORRECTION of the exercise: Write a conversation at a diner.

     

    -       I’m not hungry. I’d like hard-boiled eggs, half of a waffle and coffee, please.

    How much is it?

    -       It’s seven dollars and seventy-three cents all together.

     

    -       I’m very hungry, I’d like chicken wing, hash browns, omelette, and toffee pudding. I’d like to drink diet cola. How much is it, please?

    -       It’s twenty-five dollars and twenty-three cents all together.

     

    -       I’m extremely thirsty. I’d like diet cola, coffee, lemonade and orange juice please...

    Today, we finished the oral presentations.

    Then, we started a new lesson about HALLOWEEN!

    We listened to a song, "There's a ghost".

    Thursday, October 1st

    (the first)

    Séquence 2: HALLOWEEN. Song: There’s a ghost

    The song is scary.

    It makes me feel scared. (feeling/emotion)

    It reminds me of ghosts, witches, evil people...

     

    There is a ghost in the castle.

    There are ghosts on the chairs.
