    Yesterday, we continued working on places.

    We listened to phone messages.

    We discovered the names of new places such as the library.

    Here is the lesson:

    Phone messages: places in a city

     

    The library is next to the leisure centre and in Fairfield Road.

    The sports shop is in Clarence Street, in between the newsagent’s and the clothes shop, opposite the Bentall Centre.

    The swimming-pool is in the leisure centre in Fairfield Road.

    Correction of the English test

    Ex 1:

    a)      

    Mrs Crazy always has mouldy eggplant because she loves having a stomachache.

    She sometimes eats frozen cauliflower to have frozen teeth.

    b)   

    She shouldn’t eat out of date cauliflower not to be sick.

    She should practise sports not to be fat.

    c)   Périmé: out of date / moisi: mouldy / gras: fat / malodorant: smelly / congelé: frozen / toujours: always/

    La santé: health / être en forme: be in good shape/be in good health/be fit.

    Madame Tussaud museum in London

    On the photo, we can see four people:

    -       Queen Elizabeth II (the second) is in the middle,

    -       Prince Charles, the Queen’s son, is on the left,

    -       Prince Philip, the Queen’s husband, is on the right,

    -       The hairdresser is combing the Queen’s hair.

    They are all wax statues except for the hairstylist.

    The scene takes place / The scene is set in Madame Tussauds museum.

     

    HOMEWORK: Thursday 7th: Learn information/vocabulary from the lesson.

     

     

    On Thursday, we matched biographies with photos of celebrities.

    Then we collected verbs in a grid: the simple past/le prétérit.

    HOMEWORK: Monday, 11th:

    Wrote, adopted, began, divorced, died, married, had: trouver l’infinitif et les classer dans le tableau

     

    + learn the verbs in the grid.

    Mrs Crazy always eats mouldy spinach because she doesn’t like having a good health/ being in good health.

    She sometimes eats fresh salad because she loves having green teeth.

    Ex 2: Advice

    She should eat healthy vegetables to get fit.

    She shouldn’t eat rotten potatoes not to be smelly.

    Ex3: Voc

    Out of date (périmé), mouldy (moisi), fat (gras), smelly (malodorant), frozen (congelé), always (toujours), health (la santé), be in good health/be fit/ be in good shape (être en forme).

    Ex 4: food habits

    a)

    1)  I usually eat cauliflower for lunch.

    2)  I hardly ever have sweetcorn for breakfast.

    3)  She never eats capsicum for dinner.

    4)  I often eat turnips for lunch.

    b)

    I often eat beetroot for breakfast.

    I sometimes eat eggplant for lunch.

    Ex 5: Michelle Obama

    She said children should play in their garden because the U.S.A is a big playground.

    She said children should walk around the block after meals and play outside rather than play videogames.

    She also said that American people should climb up the stairs rather than take the elevator.

    Conclusion: She said people should get out and get active!

     

    HOMEWORK: 05/01/2016: revise the correction of the test and sign it with your parents.

    Britain’s Got Talent is a TV show. Candidates are judged by the jury. It’s a competition about their talents: for example: singing, dancing, doing magic tricks, practising sports or gymnastics... The best candidate wins a big price.

    Malaki’s identity:

    Malaki is a child/a kid/ a young boy. He is nine years old. He lives in London, in England. He came with his mum. He can sing.

    What happens?

    Malaki cries.



    He is surprised/stressed out/ nervous/ scared because the audience and the jury

    are listening to him and British people are watching him on TV.
