Hello everyone,
Today, you spoke a lot! It was really interesting to listen to you.
You debated on the most important things we had to find to survive in the Australian bush.
Then, you voted.
Here is the result:
Friday, September 30th
(the thirtieth)
How can we survive in the bush?
Our first priority is finding water because:
- Without water, we will die.
- Dehydration happens faster than starvation.
Our second priority is finding some food because:
- With food, you will get energy and you will be able to move, build a shelter, make fire...

Hello everyone,
Today, we continued working on the way we can order food in a diner.
Wednesday, September 28th
(the twenty-eighth)
Ordering food at a diner
I’m as starving as an ogre. I would like:
- a burger
- a hot dog
and three waffles.
How much is it, please?
è It is twenty-six dollars and seventy cents ($26,70).
We calculated a price.
Then, you prepared your own conversations and your practiced speaking with a partner.
Some volunteers acted it out.
Finally, we listened to a conversation taking place in a restaurant.
HOMEWORK: for Tuesday 4th: revise the question + prices + food vocabulary

Hello everyone,
With your groups, we worked on survival and I thought you worked really well.
You had to make a list of priorities:
GROUP B:
Thursday, September 29th
(the twenty-ninth)
Brainstorming:
What do you need to survive in the Australian bush?
Our top/first priority is to find water because:
- We don’t want to be dehydrated!
- We need more water than food to survive.
Second, we need to make fire:
- To cook our food
- To keep warm at night.
To finish, pupils don’t agree / disagree on the third priority:
Food or a cabin?
HOMEWORK: Monday, 3rd (October):

- To be protected from freezing and wild animals at night.
